Bear Mountain Lodge offers approximately 1,100 feet of private shoreline on a secluded 520-acre lake. With no public boat launch, Howard Lake remains remarkably peaceful - a place for early paddles, long beach afternoons, and sunsets reflected across still water.

Its privacy is part of the experience: no public launch, no crowded marina and no need to leave the property to spend the day on the water.

Howard Lake supports a mix of warm and cold water fishing opportunities. Guests may encounter pickerel, perch, brook trout, smallmouth bass and largemouth bass.
Fishing rods and basic tackle are available for guest use. Guests are responsible for obtaining any required Maine fishing license.
